Barbara Humpton, president and CEO of Siemens‘ U.S. federal government subsidiary, delivered the final remarks at an Air Force Institute of Technology symposium on additive manufacturing that took place Oct. 30 and 31 in Ohio.
Humpton has led Siemens Government Technologies since October 2015 and also serves on the board of directors of the business.
She was a guest speaker at the “Digital Engineering and Manufacturing Environment Symposium: Enabling Additive Manufacturing in the Aerospace and Defense Sector,” hosted by AFIT’s Graduate School of Engineering and Management, Dayton Daily News reported Friday.
Paul Hartman, director of AFIT’s Center of Operational Analysis and chair of the symposium, said the event aimed to spur discussions and encourage public-private initiatives to advance manufacturing innovation.
