Battelle‘s SeeByte subsidiary has received a potential five-year, $22.6 million contract to provide technical, engineering and training support for U.S. Navy‘s MK18 unmanned underwater vehicles.
SeeByte said Monday it will update the SeeTrack common operator interface for Navy explosive ordnance disposal software modules, procure Neptune autonomy software licenses for MK18 UUVs and develop automatic target recognition modules.
The SeeTrack open architecture software is designed to support mission planning, monitoring, post-processing and reporting functions for scientific experiments, surveys and military and security operations.
Neptune works to facilitate collaboration among multiple autonomous vehicles and adapts to different missions, SeeByte noted.
