Root9B has received a potential five-year subcontract from Science Applications International Corp. to help update the U.S. Cyber Command‘s technology platforms designed for exercise support, operations, planning and training.
The Joint Operations Center and Special Programs Support Task Order 2 subcontract covers support for Cybercom and JOC operations at Fort Meade, Maryland, R9B said Thursday.
R9B will help the command plan cyberspace activities, coordinate intelligence and sustain situational awareness on global activities that affect cyberspace.
The company will also deploy personnel to update tools for Cybercom to plan, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, train and facilitate operations of Defense Department components through the subcontract.
R9B secured multiple contracts from government and commercial customers since its acquisition by Tracker Capital Management in September.
