Raytheon has received a potential $51.2 million contract to produce 538 laser guidance control sections for Maverick tactical air-to-ground missile systems of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is the contracting activity and obligated the full contract amount from fiscal 2017 and 2018 procurement funds, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
Production of Maverick guidance control sections will occur at Raytheon’s facility in Tucson, Arizona.
The Pentagon expects the company to finish contract work by Jan. 30, 2019.
