CAE’s U.S. subsidiary has received subcontracts to support Lockheed Martin in the design and production of C-130J weapons systems trainers for deployment to multiple U.S. air bases in 2020 and 2021.
CAE USA will help build six C-130J WSTs for the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard through orders booked during CAE’s fiscal 2018 second quarter, the company said Monday.
Ray Duquette, president and general manager of CAE USA, said the trainers will work to help USAF accelerate synthetic training programs for the service branch’s Super Hercules transport aircraft crews.
C-130J WSTs are full-motion, full-mission simulators designed to mimic sounds, virtual environment, motion and other systems needed to create a flight training environment.
