A Lockheed Martin subsidiary has received a potential $49 million contract modification to supply weapon systems parts to the Defense Logistics Agency.
Sikorsky Aircraft will provide consumable spare parts for various weapon systems under the modification to a five-year base contract, which can extend another five years to cover the option period, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
Work will utilize fiscal 2018 defense working capital funds and is expected to conclude by June 30, 2020.
DoD added DLA Aviation served as the contracting activity while the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and some foreign military units are the intended customers of the spares.
