Leidos has secured a potential five-year, $17 million contract from the Transportation Security Administration to continue to provide engineering, management and information technology security services for transportation security equipment used at airports and TSA facilities.
The company said Tuesday it will help TSA manage, redeploy and move Reduced-Size Explosives Detection Systems as well as update the agency’s current EDS software under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Work will occur in Vista, California, and airport facilities throughout the U.S.
Angie Heise, a Leidos group president, said the company aims to help increase air travel safety and secure the transportation systems in the country through the contract.
More than 200 airports nationwide use Leidos’ Reveal CT-80DR and CT-80DR+ EDS machines, the company noted.
