An L3 Technologies subsidiary has received a $19.8 million contract modification to continue to help the U.S. Navy manage a facility that provides lifecycle support for the service branch’s towed arrays.
L3 Unidyne will perform services at the Naval Array Technical Support Center in Newport, Rhode Island, through July 2018 under the modification, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center’s Newport Division obligated $9.3 million in service cost center funds at the time of award and DoD noted the modification increases the basic contract’s value to $26.1 million.
Unidyne currently provides testing, upgrade, manufacturing, logistics, database management, inspection, maintenance, repair and engineering support services to NATSC.
