A Koniag subsidiary has secured a five-year, $19 million contract to aid an office of the Food and Drug Administration in its initiatives to comply with the government’s Cloud First policy.
Arlluk Technology Solutions will furnish FDA’s Office of Information Management and Technology with a cloud-based container-as-a-service platform to enable the Department of Health and Human Services agency to build, deploy and run applications in a virtual environment, the company said Friday.
Gene Zapfel, president of Arlluk, said the project is integral to support missions across FDA organizations.
The company will also provide management, technical and operations support as well as technology acquisition, application onboarding, training, implementation and related infrastructure modernization services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Arlluk is part of the government services subsidiary of Koniag, an Alaskan native corporation, and offers software development, cloud solutions, digital design and other information technology services to federal, state and local governments.
