Iron Mountain has included a suite of information technology asset disposal services in the company’s Schedule 36 contract with the General Services Administration.
The company said Tuesday it will offer Secure eWaste and IT Asset Disposition services to help federal customers dispose of outdated technology platforms and devices as they migrate to new systems.
GSA Schedule 36 covers document reproduction, distribution, conversion and management service offerings designed for government agencies.
“Iron Mountain’s recycling process is managed in an environmentally friendly way that helps minimize agencies’ carbon footprints and ensures eWaste does not end up in a landfill, supporting the National Strategy for Electronics Stewardship,” said Michael Lewis, vice president and general manager of Iron Mountain’s government services business.
Lewis added the company also offers National Archives and Records Administration-compliant records management and storage services via the GSA Schedule 36 contract.
