ICEYE‘s U.S. subsidiary has secured a contract to provide Earth observation data support services to the Defense Department‘s innovation unit.
Mike Lyons, CEO of ICEYE U.S., said in a statement published Monday the company aims to help the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental address national security challenges through the use of data.
ICEEYE is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, and aims to build microsatellites equipped with synthetic aperture radar technology that will work to collect imagery for maritime, disaster management and security and intelligence applications.
The company launched its U.S. subsidiary earlier this year to offer EO data and analytics services.
