Cisco, Interpol Enter Cyber Threat Intell Sharing Agreement - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCisco and Interpol have signed an agreement to share cyber threat intelligence as part of efforts to jointly mitigate cybercrime.

The company said Tuesday it will work with the Singapore-based Interpol Global Complex for Innovation to develop a data sharing approach that will support global threat detection and lay the foundation for future training and knowledge sharing partnerships.

Noboru Nakatani, executive director of IGCI, said the partnership aims to help Interpol and law enforcement units in 192 member countries gain access to threat information that will support the detection and prevention of cyber attacks.

Cisco will support Interpol’s programs aimed at “pure cybercrime” and cyber-enabled crimes in a move to help  member nations identify cyber attacks and perpetrators.

The company noted that its Collective Security Intelligence ecosystem works to block 19.7 billion threats daily through the efforts of its Talos security intelligence and research group.
