CAE has partnered with the Saudi National Company of Aviation to establish a flight training center at the King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The SNCA-sponsored facility will offer commercial pilot license curriculum, courseware, staff and instructor training and control systems safety education, CAE said Sunday.
Both companies made the announcement during the 2017 Dubai Air Show.
“This center gives us the ability to supply locally trained pilots to our growing regional and global airlines,” said Othman Al Moutairi, president and CEO of SNCA.
SNCA also seeks to help address a shortage of airline pilots in the Middle East through the CAE training facility.
