A partnership of Booz Allen Hamilton and The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences has supported the U.S. Air Force‘s efforts to sustain energy across installations.
NCMS and Booz Allen entered an agreement with the Air Force assistant secretary for installations, environment, and energy and the Office of Energy Assurance to help installations achieve energy assurance, NCMS said Wednesday.
The industry team equipped the Air Force with tools designed to identify and prioritize installations for energy assurance initiatives.
NCMS and Booz Allen also developed a grant proposal to the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to support a microgrid at Hanscom Air Force Base, and organized an industry day event for companies that can potentially provide energy assurance to the Air Force.
The Air Force has begun to study multiple projects in US-based installations and is on track to launch its pilot energy assurance project.
