American Systems has received a potential four-year, $27.4 million task order to support multiple training programs at the Defense Acquisition University at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The company said Monday it will provide educational materials for DAU’s distance learning and continuous learning; facilitated instructor-led classroom learning; games and simulations; video-aided instruction; classroom- and online-based rapid deployment training; and performance support tools.
Peter Smith, president and CEO at American Systems, said the company seeks to leverage its training expertise to support the university in efforts to develop and manage acquisition programs that help equip U.S. warfighters.
The order was awarded through the General Services Administration’s Alliant contract vehicle.
The Defense Department established DAU in 1991 as part of efforts to train and educate individuals on military asset procurement processes.
