Airdyne to Supply Army Aircraft Mounting System Under Potential $79M Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting eventAirdyne Aerospace has received a potential five-year, $79 million contract from the U.S. Army to build an aircraft mounting platform designed to aid various military operations.

The company will provide a Special Airborne Mission Installation and Response System to the service branch under the hybrid contract, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The SABIR system was originally designed for integration onto the C-130 transport aircraft and used in conjunction with a scanner door and a strut system.

DoD noted the Army Contracting Command solicited one bid for the contract that has cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price provisions.

Airdyne is scheduled to finish contract work by Nov. 14, 2022.
