Torch Technologies has won a potential five-year, $86.2 million contract to create digital representations of adversary missiles and flight test targets for the Missile Defense Agency.
The Defense Department said Thursday the company will model various targets that are common across Ballistic Missile Defense System programs to aid development, testing and assessment activities.
Torch Technologies will also support BMDS test, analysis and reporting efforts; quantitative assessments of functional, program and integrated system risks; and performance maintenance under the Corporate Lethality Program.
MDA received two bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract via a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps and obligated $815,641 in fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work will occur in Alabama, Colorado, Virginia and other locations within and outside the continental U.S. through September 2022.
