Brad Williamson, former founder and CEO of consulting firm MVSEA, has joined professional services company Systems Planning and Analysis as director of strategic initiatives.
SPA said Williamson will work to expand the company’s customer base and teaming opportunities in his new role.
“Williamson’s leadership, as well as his understanding of the Department of Defense’ acquisition process will provide tremendous benefits to SPA as we continue to grow our company,” said SPA President and CEO William Vantine.
Williamson is a retired rear admiral of the U.S. Navy, where he most recently served as commandant of the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia.
His at-sea assignments involved service aboard nine different ship classes, including stints as commander on USS Thunderbolt, USS Porter and Destroyer Squadron 2.
Williamson also served as lead cost analyst within the office of the secretary of defense for the development of defense emergency response funds/cost of war supplemental funds after 9/11, as well as executive assistant to the deputy commander of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command.
