The Defense Department‘s Joint Service Provider has reached out to industry to gather ideas on how JSP can implement a software-defined network technology to modernize network infrastructure at the Pentagon.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Oct. 20 said JSP aims to simplify and update the DoD network infrastructure with the use of orchestration, routing and virtualization tools.
The organization also seeks to protect the defense network from security threats from state and non-state actors who attempt to disrupt the department’s mission operations and national defenses.
JSP hosted a reverse industry event last week for the organization’s staff in Arlington, Virginia.
