Charles River Analytics has landed a potential $2 million contract to develop a cybersecurity framework for the U.S. Navy to increase resilience of the service branch’s cyber physical systems.
The company said Monday it will develop the Embedded Architecture for Cyber-resilience framework as part of efforts to help the Navy avoid cyber attacks and minimize disruption to its network operations.
Curt Wu, chief software engineer at Charles River Analytics, will serve as principal investigator for the EAC project and work with Gabriel Parmer, a professor at George Washington University, to extend a university-built composite operating system for the EAC framework.
The team aims to integrate the component-based operating system with fault detection and system monitoring algorithms to support the Navy’s cybersecurity efforts.
The contract has a two-year base period value at $750,000 and two options worth up to $1.25 million.
