BlueRISC to Develop Malware Prediction, Detection System Under DHS Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe Department of Homeland Security‘s science and technology directorate has awarded BlueRISC a $750,000 contract to develop a technology platform for network and system defenders to predict and detect malware.

DHS said Thursday BlueRISC will create a cyberattack forecasting prototype with the use of Graph Inference Theory and machine learning under the Malware Prediction for Situational Understanding and Preemptive Cyber Defense project.

The company will also conduct testing and validation efforts before it implements the platform to an operational environment.

Douglas Maughan, director of S&T’s cybersecurity division, said the project seeks to help defenders protect systems and networks from malicious actors.

BlueRISC will perform work under the second phase of DHS’ Small Business Innovation Program.
