Orbital ATK has received a five-year, $20 million contract to help U.S. Air Force researchers advance solid rocket booster technology and address technical requirements for spacecraft, tactical and strategic propulsion systems.
The Defense Department said Monday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will provide a means for the Air Force Research Laboratory’s aerospace systems and rocket propulsion division to procure solid rocket motor technologies.
Work will occur in Corinne, Utah, through Oct. 16, 2022.
The service branch received two offers for the IDIQ contract through a competitive procurement and will obligate $650,000 in fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
