Verizon‘s federal business has secured a potential five-year, $23.1 million contract from the U.S. Navy to maintain and support switched voice and data telecommunications systems for the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic.
The Defense Department said Thursday the service branch awarded the contract after a competitive solicitation process on FedBizOpps with one bid received.
NCTAMS LANT works to manage and secure computer and telecommunications systems that support global maritime and joint forces.
The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is the contracting activity and the service branch will obligate $25,000 in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Contract work will occur in Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, through September 2022.
