Textron Systems President and CEO Lisa Atherton has joined the board of directors at Bluemont, Virginia-based nonprofit organization Boulder Crest.
Atherton will work with Board Chairman Ken Falke, Vice Chairman Fred Malek, Executive Director Dusty Baxley and 15 other directors, Boulder Crest said Monday.
The nonprofit provides support to military veterans who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder and/or combat stress.
Atherton was appointed to her current role in June after serving as executive vice president of military business at Textron’s Bell Helicopter subsidiary.
She held various leadership roles at Bell Helicopter such as vice president of global military business development, V-22 program manager and director of military programs.
Atherton also served as vice president of area attack and vice president of business development at Textron Systems.
She is a former U.S. Air Force contracting officer and has worked at the Air Combat Command’s directorate of requirements.
