SimiGon has received a $100,000 contract to provide the Federal Aviation Administration its SIMbox development tools for simulation and training for the agency’s unmanned aircraft systems research simulator.
The contract serves to build on SimiGon’s effort to expand into the civilian aviation and UAS markets, the company announced Monday.
SimiGon added FAA aims to use SIMbox as its primary platform to develop the UAS simulation environment and as the central repository for all associated components.
Company President Ami Vizer noted that SimiGon will work with FAA on government UAS research and development efforts as the company pushes for other opportunities with the government and civilian sectors.
SIMbox is a software platform used for managing and modifying simulation content based on program requirements.
