Salesforce has pledged to invest $50 million and one million volunteer hours over five years in K-12 computer science education across the U.S.
The company said Tuesday its Salesforce.org charity arm will offer 10 free Salesforce software subscriptions to all eligible public K-12 schools nationwide.
Salesforce.org also plans to grant $1 million to nonprofit organization Code.org to help increase access and faculty training for K-12 computer science.
The software company has invested $65 million in computer science-related educational programs to date and Salesforce workers have dedicated approximately 175,000 volunteer hours in K-12 classrooms since 1999.
