Roboteam has begun full-rate production and initial delivery of 40 unmanned logistics carriers for the Israeli military and two U.S. government customers, including the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
The company said Tuesday its second-generation Probot unmanned vehicle is designed to perform “silent” operations for up to 72 hours and feature an onboard generator that would charge batteries while in motion to provide near-limitless mileage.
Probot was also selected for the first phase of tests under the U.S. Army‘s Squad Multipurpose Equipment Transport program at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Roboteam manufactures its robotic platforms in partnership with API Technologies in Windber, Pennsylvania.
