PacStar has secured a $10 million contract from the Defense Department to provide networking and communications products for the U.S. Marine Corps‘Â Networking On-The-Move program.
The company said Tuesday it will supply the military branch with PacStar 400-Series products such as rugged, small form factor modules designed to offer command and control communications capacity for tactical vehicles.
PacStar’s modular systems seek to address the NOTM program’s size, weight and power requirements for tactical vehicle communications equipment.
The modules are built to support communications features in NOTM subsystems, the Point of Presence Vehicle Kit and Staff Vehicle Kit via Secret Internet Protocol Router Network, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network and Mission Specific network enclaves.
USMC will install the PacStar 400-Series equipment into amphibious assault, high-mobility wheeled and all-terrain vehicles.
The NOTM program aims to increase C2 capacity of the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
