The U.S. Army has awarded Navistar‘s defense business a $29.6 million contract modification to provide technical and sustainment support for mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicles.
Navistar will perform services in support of in-production and out-of-production MaxxPro vehicles through March 31, 2019, the Defense Department said Thursday.
The Army Contracting Command will identify work locations and funds with each order.
MaxxPro is designed with a V-shaped hull and survivability features that work to protect the vehicle and crew from various threats such as ballistic arms fire, mine blasts and improvised explosive devices.
