A Cubic division has received the Military Simulation & Training magazine’s Red ‘Best Programs’ Ribbon award for the third consecutive year in recognition of the company’s platform that seeks to transform the military training community.
The magazine awarded the ribbon to Cubic Global Defense for the Immersive Virtual Shipboard Environment the company designed for the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program, Cubic said Tuesday.
IVSE works to leverage gaming technology and learning science to teach tasks through real-life scenarios and facilitate learning among trainees by immersing them in 3D virtual environments.
“Cubic is honored to be recognized as a top simulation and training company in the defense industry and given the Red ‘Best Programs’ Ribbon by MS&T this year,†said Dave Buss, president of Cubic Global Defense.
Buss, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, added the award seeks to reflect the company’s dedication to advance game-based training and efforts to build up military clients’ mission readiness through delivery of training and learning platforms.
MS&T awarded the ribbon as part of its 16th annual Industry Simulation & Training Awards list to be published in the magazine’s September/October 2017 issue.
