Boeing has received a five-year, $23.3 million initial task order to help the U.S. Air Force operate and maintain the service branch’s Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system for nuclear deterrence.
The company will also provide technical data on the land-based weapon system as part of the order that falls under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Department said Wednesday.
DoD noted the obligated amount of $5.2 million at the time of award is from the Air Force’s fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.
Work will occur at the Little Mountain Test Facility in Ogden, Utah, through Sept. 30, 2023.
