Raytheon‘s missile systems business has received a $66.4 million contract modification to continue to help the Missile Defense Agency integrate and test a ballistic missile defense system as part of the Standard Missile-3 Block IIA program.
The Defense Department said Monday the company will support BMD 5.1 engineering, integration, certification and testing efforts as well as provide post-event assessment support services and flight termination systems for the Aegis Ashore flight test mission.
Work will occur at Raytheon’s facility in Tucson, Arizona, through Sept. 30, 2018.
DoD noted the modification increases the contract’s cumulative face value to $2.07 billion.
MDA obligated $64.2 million in fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
