General Dynamics‘ mission systems business and the Institute for Defense Analyses have joined the non-profit mutual-benefit Wireless Innovation Forum that aims to advance the use of wireless communications and spectrum-sharing technologies.
WInnForum said Thursday the two new members will work alongside radio manufacturers, acquisition authorities, service providers, standards bodies, regulatory agencies, operators and researchers in the group’s spectrum innovation efforts.
General Dynamics Mission Systems is a provider of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and operational hardware for electronic warfare and communication systems to branches within the Defense Department.
IDA is a non-profit corporation that runs three federally funded research and development centers and aims for the improvement of national security and preservation of public welfare.
