Dipto Chakravarty, formerly senior vice president and general manager of identity and access management business at CA Technologies, has joined enterprise collaboration platform developer Exostar as chief technology officer.
The more than 27-year information security veteran will lead Exostar’s strategic design and software engineering programs as well as efforts to innovate technology infrastructure and operations in his new position, the company said Tuesday.
“I am confident [Chakravarty] will be a catalyst for our ongoing transformation and growth,” said Richard Addi, president and CEO of Exostar.
“I am looking forward to best positioning the company to take full advantage of the short-term and long-term growth opportunities that lie on the road ahead,” Chakravarty said.
Chakravarty also previously served as CA’s SVP of engineering with responsibility over the company’s cybersecurity lines of business.
Before that, he worked in executive roles at ThreatTrack Security, Novell and Thomson Reuters.
He started his career at IBM and Bell Labs as a software engineer after he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland.
