Sypris Subsidiary Lands Electronic Assembly Production Contracts With Harris - top government contractors - best government contracting eventHarris has awarded several contracts to a Sypris Solutions subsidiary to build electronic assemblies in support of U.S. military programs and space initiatives.

Sypris Electronics will produce and deliver electronic assemblies for two satellite programs designed for use in weather forecasting operations, Sypris said Monday.

The first satellite program will work to monitor early storm development, while the other initiative aims to perform atmospheric data collection.

Sypris will also support the development of a missile warning platform and military weapons systems.

Deliveries for the missile warning system will begin during the second half of this year, while shipments for the weapons platform will start in the first half of 2018.

Jim Long, vice president and general manager of Sypris Electronics, said the company will leverage its operational and engineering capabilities to support space and defense electronics systems programs through its partnership with Harris.
