SAP has appointed three executives to the North America management team to oversee the company’s business operations in the U.S. and Canada.
Stephen Shute, chief operating officer for SAP North America, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief business officer for the Americas and Asia Pacific Japan and will directly report to Jennifer Morgan, executive board member for global customer operations, the company said Thursday.
Shute previously served as senior VP and managing director of SAP North America’s Midwest region prior to taking the COO role in April 2015.
He joined SAP in 2014 after he held senior sales leadership roles at IBM and Allscripts.
Donald Paoni, managing director for SAP North America’s Midwest region, has been promoted to president of sales for North America and will oversee the region’s customer relationships and strategic direction on a daily basis.
The 21-year company veteran, who will also report to Morgan, previously served as head of the Strategic Customer Program in North America and chief of SAP’s regional sales organizations in the eastern and midwestern U.S.
Paoni started his career at Legent Corp. as an account executive.
Dave Spencer, managing director for SAP North America’s East region, has been elevated to the role of COO for North America and will be responsible for the development of the firm’s sales and go-to-market strategies.
He has held the roles of COO for the East region and global VP of sales for cloud organization since he moved to the firm in 2006.
Prior to SAP, Spencer held senior sales leadership roles at Gelco Information Network, Moore Business Forms & Systems and Ruesch International.
