Scott Davidson, Alan Fudge, Scott Reasoner Take New Leadership Roles at Hortonworks - top government contractors - best government contracting eventHortonworks has made a series of leadership changes as part of a push to drive growth strategy and operational performance at the Santa Clara, California-based open data technology firm.

Chief Financial Officer Scott Davidson has assumed additional duties as chief operating officer of Hortonworks, the company said Tuesday.

He succeeds the departing president and COO Rajnish Verma and is expected to leverage his corporate development and financial experience in enterprise software to build up the firm’s operations and finance teams as part of global expansion efforts.

Alan Fudge, formerly COO and senior vice president of worldwide sales and field operations for software at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, will join Hortonworks on July 31 as chief revenue officer.

In this newly created position, Fudge will oversee the implementation of the firm’s global sales strategy as well as sales and channel operations and sales engineering.

Fudge held senior leadership roles at several tech firms such as VMware, Quest Software and BEA Systems.

Scott Reasoner, a senior vice president and principal accounting officer at Hortonworks, has been promoted to chief accounting officer.

Reasoner will leverage his experience in accounting, financial systems and related processes to help advance the company’s expansion efforts in this newly created role.
