Leidos has agreed to sponsor the Cambridge2Cambridge cyber competition for university teams from the U.S. and the U.K. as part of the company’s efforts to promote science, technology, engineering and math careers for students.
The University of Cambridge will host the 2017 C2C cyber challenge that will run from July 24 through 26, Leidos said Monday.
C2C participants will use Leidos’ CyberNEXS cybersecurity trainer and company employees will help students operate the platform throughout the competition.
Leidos will also participate in seminars such as the “The Future of the Cyber Conflict” and in the “Women in STEM” networking session.
Bill Krampf, Leidos senior vice president for U.K. and Europe, said partnerships with universities will help develop the skills of future cyber professionals.
CyberNEXS is designed to provide cybersecurity training to high school and college students as well as industry security employees.
