Elbit Systems Links Air Training Simulators via Cloud-Based Environment - top government contractors - best government contracting eventElbit Systems has tested a cloud-based service that worked to connect two air training simulators through a common simulation environment.

The company said Wednesday the synthetic training platform builds on the results of a customer-funded research and development project, where Elbit linked two different types of trainers by providing cloud-based simulation.

The new service currently supports real time interaction between two devices within a private, cloud-based environment and features a role player station to accommodate a human operator.

During the test, the connected training devices flew simultaneously to carry out components of air missions that occur within Elbit’s SkyBreaker mission training center.

Elbit will incorporate platform cockpits at the mission training center for the next phase of the program.
