VSE to Repair, Maintain Ground Equipment at USAF Facility in Japan - top government contractors - best government contracting eventVSE has received a potential three-year, $22.3 million task order to help the U.S. Air Force repair and maintain aerospace ground and support equipment at the service branch’s Kadena Air Base in Japan.

The company said Wednesday it will also work to prevent and treat corrosion on equipment operated by the 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, 353rd Special Operations Group, Navy Commander Task Force 72.2 and other associated units.

The order falls under the Air Force’s potential $11.4 billion Contract Field Teams indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract awarded in in November.

J.R. Brown, president of VSE’s federal services group, said the company aims to help military customers extend the serviceable life of assets for their missions.

The Air Force developed the CFT contract for service branches and federal government agencies to access maintenance, repair and modernization services for aircraft, vehicles, weapon systems and other equipment necessary to address war readiness needs.

The contract works to address the requirements of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard and Navy as well as the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration and other agencies.
