VMware has earned Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2+ certification for a technology platform that works to help organizations monitor and manage computer networks.
The certification shows that VMware’s NSX network virtualization platform complies with government security standards for deployment, the company said Monday.
NSX is designed to help customers from the government and highly-regulated sectors to modernize data centers, integrate with public clouds and boost security through a virtual machine.
VMware developed the platform to mitigate the spread of threats in the data center through a micro-segmentation model;Â automation for service provisioning and delivery; and application continuity to cut recovery times if a disaster affects multiple data centers, VMWare noted.
Common Criteria is an international standard for information technology security products that is recognized by 26 member nations and often required by government buyers.
