Paul Smith, senior vice president and general manager of Red Hat‘s public sector business, has accepted a Lifetime Achievement award from the Institute for Excellence in Sales during a ceremony held June 6 near Washington, D.C.
IES chose Smith out of 50 nominees based on criteria such as sales excellence, capacity to train sales leaders and level of achievement over an extended period of time, Red Hat said Monday.
DLT Solutions President and CEO Art Richer, previous recipient of the IES Lifetime Achievement award, presented the recognition to Smith.
Richer cited Smith’s technology expertise, preparedness and relationship with people and customers at the award reception.
Smith, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, joined Red Hat in 2004 and leads the company’s business divisions focused on the international, federal, state and local government and education markets.
