Persistent Systems to Deliver Radio Tech Under Potential $100M FBI IDIQ - top government contractors - best government contracting eventPersistent Systems has secured a position on a potential $100 million FBI indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide mobile ad hoc networking radio systems in support of the bureau’s operational technology division.

The company said June 5 it seeks to deliver a wireless internet protocol network to the FBI through the firm’s MPU5 communication system.

Herbert Rubens, CEO of Persistent Systems, said the system can help the bureau’s agents to gain situational awareness when they conduct missions.

MPU5 is designed to provide a secure IP network in any environment or application with more than 100 Mbps of usable throughput; distribute multiple real-time video feeds on demand; and support tethering with legacy narrow band radios, among others.

New York City-based Persistent Systems develops, manufactures and integrates a patented mobile ad hoc networking or MANET platform dubbed Wave Relay to support data, video and voice transmission.
