Motorola Solutions to Deliver Mobile Apps, Software for FirstNet Project - top government contractors - best government contracting eventMotorola Solutions will provide software, mobile applications and related services in support of AT&T’s efforts to build a national public safety broadband network for first responders.

AT&T secured a potential $6.5 billion contract from the First Responder Network Authority in March and teamed up with Motorola and three other companies to work on the national broadband network project.

Motorola will deliver a set of mobile messaging and mapping apps as part of the FirstNet project, the company said Tuesday.

Motorola also received certification for its LEX F10 device for use in AT&T’s Long-Term Evolution network and national public safety network.

Bruce Brda, executive vice president of products and services at Motorola, said the company will collaborate with AT&T and first responders to deliver data, messaging and voice capabilities in support of public safety efforts in the U.S.
