Mercury Systems has obtained design service accreditation from a Defense Department organization for its microelectronics facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Advanced Microelectronics Center in Phoenix is the company’s second facility to obtain the Category 1A Trusted Supplier certification for design services from DoD’s Defense Microelectronics Activity organization, Mercury Systems said Wednesday.
The accreditation seeks to help Mercury Systems supply ruggedized and customized system-in-package, storage and memory microelectronics to prime contractors in support of aerospace and military programs.
“Accreditation spanning the design phase through final product testing highlights Mercury’s substantial investment in security and trust as the foundation of our operational cadence,†said Charlie Leader, senior vice president and general manager of Mercury’s advanced microelectronics solutions group.
Mercury’s AMC facility in Phoenix already has DMEA accreditation for assembly, test, broker and packaging services.
The company also secured design service certification from DMEA for its Andover, Massachusetts-based microelectronics center earlier this year.
