Concurrent Technologies Corp. has secured a $200,000 subcontract from Azimuth Consulting Services to support a Defense Department project to demilitarize conventional ammunition.
CTC said Tuesday it will collaborate with Azimuth Consulting, the project’s prime contractor, to determine requirements for the replacement of a current demilitarization optimization software platform.
Ed Sheehan, CTC president and CEO, said the company has supported the department in efforts to sustain the ammunition industrial base over the past two decades.
The subcontract also calls for the company to produce a technical report that will outline the attributes and performance characteristics of created or reconfigured software systems.
CTC will also estimate the costs of developing and testing new and updated software, including a cost estimate for the inclusion of such platform in the U.S. Army‘s network enterprise resource planning program.
The company is scheduled to complete work under the subcontract by Feb. 28, 2018.
