Accellion Obtains FedRAMP Certification for Cloud-Based Content Collaboration Tool - top government contractors - best government contracting eventAccellion has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program  certification to offer a cloud-based content collaboration system to federal agencies.

The FedRAMP moderate-impact level authorization seeks to facilitate the deployment of Accellion’s kiteworks content collaboration tool on Amazon Web Services’ Cloud platform to help government employees access and transmit sensitive data files, Accellion said Monday.

“Earning full FedRAMP authorization reinforces our commitment to agencies at all levels that we take the security of their content extremely seriously,” said Jonathan Yaron, Accellion chairman and CEO.

Kiteworks is a software-as-a-service private cloud platform designed to help users access, share and collaborate with external and internal teams on sensitive documents that are stored on desktop computers, tablets and other mobile devices, according to a service description posted on FedRAMP website.

Coalfire Systems served as an independent assessment organization during the FedRAMP authorization process.

Federal agencies that have leveraged Accellion’s products to facilitate collaboration with external partners include NASA, National Institute for Standards and Technology and the departments of Health and Human Services, Agriculture and Energy.
