The Defense Finance Accounting Service has awarded a $29.2 million contract to Grant Thornton and a $24.6 million contract to Cotton & Co. to respectively provide general fund and working capital fund audit services to the U.S. Special Operations Command and the U.S. Transportation Command.
Each labor-hour contract has 19 base months and three one-year options, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
DFAS obligated $10.1 million in fiscal 2017 defense-wide operations and maintenance funds on Grant Thornton’s award.
The agency provided $8.7 million in fiscal 2017 Transcom funds for Cotton & Co.’s contract at the time of award.
Both companies will primarily carry out work in Alexandria, Virginia.
