Former EMC Chairman and CEO Joe Tucci has been elected to the board of directors at communications technology and services provider Motorola Solutions.
He currently serves as co-CEO and co-chairman of GTY Technology Holdings and previously held leadership positions at Wang Global and Unisys‘ information systems business, Motorola said Monday.
Tucci has led EMC and its market expansion initiatives since 2001 until the completion of the data storage vendor’s merger with Dell early in September to form enterprise information technology firm Dell Technologies.
He is also the chairman of New York-based investment firm Bridge Growth Partners and a board member at Paychex, the National Academy Foundation, Columbia Business School, Northeastern University and Boston Symphony Orchestra.
