Ryan Vervack, former chief technology officer of CACI International‘s government services business, has been appointed to the same position at DroneShield‘s U.S.-based subsidiary.
DroneShield said Monday his responsibilities will span across the unmanned aircraft technology firm’s engineering teams in Australia and the U.S.
Peter James, chairman of DroneShield, said Vervack joins the company as it aims to expand operations in the global defense, law enforcement and security markets as well as deliver technological platforms to clients.
Vervack joined CACI upon its acquisition of the National Security Solutions business of L3 Technologies last year.
Before that, he previously held the roles of senior software engineer at Leica Geosystem, senior systems engineer at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and game designer at Westwood Studios.
DroneShield offers autonomous drone detection and countermeasure technology and services intended to support operations in airports, commercial venues, government, infrastructure and prisons.
